The DCWater Lead Pipe Replacement Assistance Program – How It Works

DC Water’s program is designed to make lead pipe replacement accessible and affordable for homeowners in the Washington DC area. By choosing John C. Flood as your service provider, you’re selecting a partner who will help guide you through every step of the process, from initial approval to the final installation.

How To Sign Up

1. Fill out your application online or print it and send it by mail to: District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, Lead Pipe Replacement Program, 301 Bryant St NW, Washington DC 20001. Please provide Income Verification Documents and your most recent DC Water Bill (Within the last six months). Wait for the Department of Energy and Environment Approval.
2. Call John C. Flood at (240)508-5525 or email us at Service@MidAtlanticTrenchless.com so that we can guide you through the rest of the process with ease.
3. Replacement Begins!

Eligibility Requirements:

Please check the DC Water Lead Map to confirm if there are lead pipes on your public or private property: https://www.dcwater.com/leadmap or send pictures of your pipe material to Lead@DCWater.com

You may have also received a DC Water mailer (image below) which confirms your property is eligible for this program.

Note: DO NOT START WORK until your application with the Department of Energy and Environment has been approved and you have received a benefit confirmation letter.
