Children’s National Medical Center

John C. Flood became a partner of Children’s National Medical Center in 2021 as a Capital Sponsor for the Dancing After Dark event.

The Children’s National Health System, based in Washington, D.C., has been serving the nation’s children since 1870. The hospital is Magnet® designated, which recognizes organizations worldwide where nursing leaders successfully align their nursing strategic goals to improve the organization’s patient outcomes. It’s also consistently ranked among the top pediatric hospitals by U.S.News & World Report and the Leapfrog Group.

Easterseals

Easterseals and John C. Flood partnered in August of 2022 when our company began inspections of and repairs to the Easterseals Child Development Center in Washington, DC. Dating from 1959, the building is the oldest of the four Easterseals childcare centers, and costly maintenance needs have been mounting.

Since 1945, Easterseals DC MD VA has worked tirelessly to enhance quality of life and expand access to healthcare, education, and employment. John C. Flood is honored to support an organization that serves a vulnerable population and is leading the way to full equity, inclusion, and access.

Fox5 Zip Trip

In the summer of 2024, John C. Flood became involved with the Fox 5 DC Zip Trips. Our employees set up a booth with freebies for the members of our communities, provided them with information about what we do, and offered them a cooling tent where they could escape the heat.

The Fox 5 Summer Zip Trips are the weekly Friday events that highlight some of the best spots to visit around the DMV area. 2025 was the 11th anniversary of the series, and events usually include a live broadcast to highlight the local businesses and community.

Food4Families

Members from John C. Flood recently volunteered at the Capital Area Food Bank’s Lorton, VA facility, helping sort and pack fresh produce for local families in need. As part of a larger community effort to combat food insecurity, we were proud to lend a hand and support access to healthy food for neighbors across the region.

Habitat For Humanity

Our team was proud to volunteer with the Loudoun, VA Habitat for Humanity to support safe, affordable housing in our community. As part of the effort, we donated $3,000 in electrical repairs to help a local resident stay safe in her home. Giving back is part of our mission and we’re honored to make a difference where it matters most.

Give Your Home A Hug Giveaway with ABC7

The “Give Your Home a Hug” giveaway, in partnership with ABC7, provides free HVAC systems to veterans and first responders in the DMV region. This initiative honors local heroes by ensuring their homes remain safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient. This year, we were proud to support Samuel, a devoted family man and veteran, helping his family enjoy comfort year-round. It’s our way of giving back to those who give so much to our communities.

Mission 22

John C. Flood has been working alongside Mission 22 for years to positively impact veterans and their families. In 2023 as well as the summer of 2024, we donated funds through dedicated charity initiatives to continue our support of Missions 22.

Mission 22 offers a wide range of programs to provide extensive, personalized support and resources to help veterans and their families thrive.

WUSA9: Wrap Your Home In Love

In 2022, John C. Flood partnered with WUSA9 to further extend our reach and continue to bring our expertise, reliability, and excellence to even more members of our community. Through the Wrap Your Home in Love Initiative, in collaboration with WUSA9, we gifted a state-of-the-art furnace and air-conditioning system to a resident in dire need.

WUSA9 (WUSA, channel 9) is a CBS-affiliated television station serving the Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland communities.
